Personal portabello pizza

A super healthy alternative to pizza crust is to use a portabello mushroom as the base of the pizza. My sister Dani and I made our own personal pizzas using portabello as the crust and spreading marinara in the mushroom cup and putting in all our yummy toppings such as onions, bell pepper, non fat mozzarella cheese, chicken, peppercini, sun-dried tomato and turkey bacon. We also served the meal with a yummy pear and Gorgonzola salad and some less healthy garlic bread.

I have MATLAB on my iPhone!

I just found out this week that I can use MATLAB on my iPhone! How über nerdy is that?!? It's awesome. I can either use the Mathworks Cloud to help me with those hard algebra problems when I'm in a bind or I can control MATLAB on my computer via the app. I think I'm going to have it replace the calculator app on my iPhone just to be excessively nerdy.

R.I.P.  Mac Highlighter

I got this highlighter at Calapalooza my freshmen year at UC Berkeley. Calapalooza is Berkeley's annual new student activity fair and that year it was held in the Student Recreational Sports Facility (RSF). In the RSF were tons of booths about student organizations and even companies there with student deals and free stuff. Apple had a room with tons of Apple schwag and that is where I got the highlighter. After 4 years, I have finally used it up.

I'm no Kim Etcheverry

I made a double layer cake for my friend Anna's birthday. She loves pink and chocolate, which defined the cake. This is definitely not a piece of art like the cakes by Kim Etcheverry, but maybe a good start? I just used a cake mix from a box, jars of pink frosting and a spray can of black decorating frosting. We all enjoyed it and she loved that it was chocolate and pink.
