My Griffin Elevator was a causality of moving across the country
I'd have to say my move from California to Massachusetts was rather smooth and relatively inexpensive. The flight from Sacramento to Boston was around $200 and since I flew Southwest, I was able to bring lots of luggage for free. I managed to get rid of a lot of my old clothes and donate things I could easily replace in Massachusetts. This left me with several boxes I decided to ship via USPS for just under another $200. As with any move, there is always some kind of casualty. Mine was a large priority box that got destroyed in transit across our beautiful country. The box was ripped open along one of the sides and several (metallic) objects were bent.
My beloved Griffin Elevator of two years was amongst those items in the terrorized box. Among first inspection, I believe it to have survived except for some scuffs and scratches. However, now that I am settling in at my new desk, I finally set it up and realize one bar is bent out of shape. Hence, my laptop will not lay level on the Elevator anymore. I know as far as moving casualties go, this is not the biggest deal. I am just sad to see good products like this get ruined. Maybe I should have spent the few extra dollars to ensure safer delivery, especially since other items were ruined from transit.Happy shipping,
